This revolver was made in 1966-67 and was apparently once owned by John C. Howell, the constable of Carter County Oklahoma. The 2 1/2" barreled 38 sports sterling silver grips and 10k gold appliques on both grip panels including 2 panels that bear his initials JCH. The gun is a standard 3 screw square butt built on the k-frame with pinned barrel. Finish is blue with case colored trigger and hammer and features fixed sights. As to condition, the gun has been used and holstered and maintains a sharp bore and a crisp action. There is wear on all edges, a drag line and wear to right side of frame. Overall the gun retains approximately 65% of its original blue. Grips are excellent and quite ornate. Comes with floral tooled holster that was made in Fort Worth, Texas.
