Smith & Wesson Model of 1905 4th Change .38S&W 6"bbl Revolver w/Canadian Marking 1940-45mfg **SOLD**
Description: ***SOLD*** Smith & Wesson Model of 1905 4th Change .38S&W revolver, dated to 1940-45. This revolver is stamped with a Canadian broad arrow marking on the frame, indicating that it was sold to and used by the Canadian military during WWII. The revolver features it's original checkered walnut stock with a matching serial number on the inside. as well as a blued steel frame, double and single action capabilities, and a 6-round capacity. The revolver is in excellent working condition with solid timing and lockup, as well as very nice bore and chamber surfaces, indicating that it may have been carried often but used very little. Some signs of finish wear in contact areas can be seen, as well as areas of finish speckling, as shown. The cylinder crane is a bit stiff when opening and closing, however the cylinder spins freely and works as it should. The stock panels have little notches cut into the bottom, and some sources say that was done to indicate a kill or a a gunfight that was won. Please refer to the photos to further assess the condition of the pistol. A wonderful collectible, perfect for a S&W or WWII enthusiast! No handgun sales in MA. C&R OK. Shipping $25.00 / USPS
