Smith & Wesson Victory Revolver English Version .38 S&W
Description:
A great example of Smith & Wesson Victory revolver chambered in .38 S&W. I am listing as .38 S&W due to the fact that a .38 Spl round will not chamber. The revolver is in good condition with a very good bore - strong rifling. The finish is what would be expected from a WWII era piece that probably was use by either the English military or a police unit. The bluing is worn in places and there is signs of holster wear. The grips are good without cracks but there are compressions and chips. The trigger is serrated and the front LH ramp is stamped Parker Hale England. The bbl is 4". There is no rust just wear.
I am not an expert by any stretch but I have found out a few things about the this Victory. The Parker Hale front ramp install was either done by PH or another English smith known as Cogswell & Harrison both reputable post war gunsmith. There is the word Victory stamped on the frame butt. Here is a great piece of WWII history offered at a great price. Please ask questions and I'll do what I can to ge answers for you.
This is a used handgun and I make no claims to history, round count or accuracy. It is advised that if you are unfamiliar with handguns and this being a used firearm, you have it examined by a competent gunsmith. There is a 3 day non firing, non disassembly return provision that is offered so long as the item is returned as shipped at buyer's expense. The 3 day period starts when the firearm is received by the transferring FFL and as noted by USPS tracking.
