Offered here for sale is this vintage Smith & Wesson Model 10 .38 revolver which we are running as a monthly special. Serial number C320745 it was recently acquired from the estate of a former police officer.
Based on the serial number C320745, this revolver was manufactured around 1955–1956. Smith & Wesson used the “C” prefix in their serial numbers on post-war production Military & Police revolvers (later designated Model 10). Model: Smith & Wesson Model 10 (known earlier as the Military & Police)

Based on the serial number C320745, this revolver was manufactured around 1955–1956. Smith & Wesson used the “C” prefix in their serial numbers on post-war production Military & Police revolvers (later designated Model 10). Model: Smith & Wesson Model 10 (known earlier as the Military & Police)
- Caliber: .38 Special
- Barrel: 4-inch, the standard police issue length
- Finish: Blued — showing holster wear, which is consistent with a former duty weapon
- Grips: Original diamond checkered walnut grips — desirable among collectors
- Hammer: Still has traces of case coloring, a nice detail for a mid-century revolver
- Condition: Mechanically solid; bore excellent — which is key for both shooters and collectors
- Accessory: S&W-marked "Sure Grip" piece added — removable but adds character.
