Phenomenal, nearly new S&W 10-5, Military and Police revolver with 2 inch pinned barrel, factory round butt, backstrap marked "U.S.," in factory box.

Description:

Standard configuration S&W Military & Police (M&P) revolver, caliber: 38 Special, serial #: C904260, with serrated ramp front sight over a pinned 2” barrel and grooved rear sight. Barrel marked with the S&W name, caliber, usual address on the right side of the frame with S&W logo and patent reference on sideplate. Backstrap marked "U.S.." Full serial number on round butt. Major components salt blued, color case hardened hammer and trigger. S&W grips with logoed medallions over checkered field. Complete with S&W silver/blue box. Well detailed non-factory label "U.S. ARMY/90260" in white wax pencil. No tools or literature. Reportedly having come from the “S&W Museum Collection.” Previously owned by the highly esteemed S&W collector Peter DeRose.

Condition:

Revolver presents as virtually new with just the fainest discernible cylinder ring that does not break the finish. No sharp edge wear or thinning. Comparable condition grips. Near excellent box with slight scuffing. An extraordinary high condition S&W revolver, U.S. Military marked, with correct box, reportedly having come from the S&W Collection. Impossible to improve upon!
