RARE" SMITH & WESSON K-38 COMBAT MASTERPIECE 5 SCREW REVOLVER U.S. MARKED

Description:
.38 special caliber, 6" barrel with wide rib and partridge front sight. Finished blue with case hardened trigger & hammer. Factory diamond grips. Marked "U.S." on the left side of the frame under the cylinder. Very rare example if a limited number of these revolvers shipped in July of 1956 to the Brooklyn Terminal or Raritan Arsenal most likely for the Army Shooting Team. Serial range K2577xx. In excellent original condition with nearly all of the original blue, and case colors. The grips are very nice with some evidence handling mainly in the checkering. Mint bore, mechanically excellent.
