Offered here for sale is a newly acquired vintage .38 Special revolver by Smith & Wesson. The Smith & Wesson Model 15-2 is a well-regarded revolver from the company’s long history of producing reliable, high-quality firearms. This is a double-action/single-action revolver with 4” barrel. The specimen retains all of its original finish but has just some dried oil in protected places. As we have acquired over 150 firearms recently in multiple collections we have not Grips: The Model 15-2 would originally have been fitted with factory wood grips, but the former owner, a shooting enthusiast, put on Hogue grips, which werechosen for comfort and improved handling.
The Model 15 is sometimes referred to as the "Combat Masterpiece," designed for law enforcement and personal defense use. The Model 15-2 is a later iteration of this revolver, with subtle updates and improvements over the original design. It’s known for its accuracy, smooth action, and reliability, making it popular among revolver enthusiasts.
The serial number K628047 falls within the range of serial numbers for the Model 15 revolvers, the 15-2 designation refers to the second variation of the Model 15, which was produced from 1962 until the early 1980s.This specimen in 99% condition is essentially in almost-new, save for the grips, and a look at the face of the cylinder it may well not be fired, but otherwise shows some storage marks rather than use marks.

The serial number K628047 falls within the range of serial numbers for the Model 15 revolvers, the 15-2 designation refers to the second variation of the Model 15, which was produced from 1962 until the early 1980s.This specimen in 99% condition is essentially in almost-new, save for the grips, and a look at the face of the cylinder it may well not be fired, but otherwise shows some storage marks rather than use marks.
