S&W Model 17-2 Revolver With Original Box built in 1965
Description:
Serial #K638980, .22 LR, 6" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handsome, pinned and recessed K-22 Masterpiece that has retained nearly all of the original blue finish with only a few small spots of freckling at the sides of the muzzle, and a mild turn-ring on the cylinder. The hammer and trigger likewise retain 97-98% of the original color case-hardening with only some faint hints of gray fading along the edges and bearing surfaces. The correct, diamond-center Magna-grips are numbered to a different gun on the interior, but fit perfectly and are in excellent shape with only some very mild flattening of the points on either panel. The revolver is housed in the original two-piece blue S&W box with matching numbered label on the factory label. The box is in very good condition with minos scuffs and blemishes, but no rips or corner separations. An original warranty card and cleaning rod (without brush or mop) are also included. This is an excellent example of a K-frame .22 S&W, and would make a great addition to any collection.
