S&W Model 19-4 Revolver (Davis Custom) 357 Magnum
Description:
Serial #48K1633, .357 Magnum, 4” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a very handsome revolver, tuned and improved by renowned gunsmith, Bill Davis of Sacramento, CA. The revolver retains 95-97% of the original blue finish on the frame, cylinder, and barrel, however the sideplate retains a commensurate amount of a perfectly matched reblued finish applied following the application of the DAVIS logo. Additionally, there is a moderate turn-ring on the cylinder, a small and unobtrusive import marking on the underside of the ejector shroud, and the wide target hammer and trigger have most of the original color case-hardening remaining with a few very small areas of gray fading along the sides. The checkered walnut S&W medallion grips are in excellent condition and have only a handful of extremely minor handling blemishes marring the otherwise excellent original varnish. The exterior modifications are small and include: an additional bearing lock added to the yoke, Allen screws fastening the sideplate, and an adjustable stop added to the trigger. The action has been tuned to give a light, smooth double-action pull and the lock-up is firm. Bill Davis was famous for his heavily modified PPC revolvers, but this Model 19 has had minimal cosmetic changes applied. It is a very nice, pinned barrel S&W that rates fine-near excellent condition overall. FFL
