ANTIQUE SMITH & WESSON 38 S.A. 2nd MODEL 5 ROUND REVOLVER. NO FFL.

Description:
I'm selling my collection. Here is an Antique Single Action Smith & Wesson 2nd Model. FFL is not required. It’s chambered in 38 S&W centerfire, 5 round Revolver. It was introduced from 1877 to 1891, a total production of 108,255. Clean 5 shots chambers, with a 3.-1/4" barrel with a clean bore with good sharp rifling lightly pitted. Old professional nickel re-finish rates 90% with some small clusters of pin prick erosion, as you can see on the pictures. The serial number : "87662"is engraved on the butt and all matching with the cylinder. The action works well  the cylinder rotates with good timing. Sharp and well defined markings. The original checkered brown rubber grips are okay both chipped off on the butt, the serial number is engraved on the butt & cylinder are all matching. Well designed & built, very collectible. Reliable single action revolvers  were associated with the Old West Conquest, being the ultimade self defense if didn't want carry an heavy 44. or 45. caliber. The action is smooth & firmly crisp. What is not mentioned in the description can be seen on the pictures. I haven't shot this one. I described it to the best of my knowledge. Old amunitions are NOT for sale.
