Smith and Wesson Model 2 (Nimtzke engraved, 6 inch, ivory handles)
Description: This is one special Smith and Wesson revolver, a model 2. "tip up" 6 inch barrel, ivory handles, .32 rimfire caliber. The gun functions flawlessly, though I have not shot it. This gun was engraved by LD Nimschke, a world famous engraver. A book about Nimtzke and his work shows pictures matching the engraving on the gun. Absolutely gorgeous and masterful work, although this gun is about 50% engraved. This is a piece of Smith and Wesson history. As far as value, I have no idea. Nonetheless, the gun is rare to start with and with engraving by Nimtzke, it should bring a premium. This gun is on consignment. Offers will be entertained. But please, no lowball offers. This is a serious gun with a serious and important history. Also comes with a wood box with an antique pair of shooting glasses. Please email with questions. I will answer all I can. We can discuss payment and shipping options at the point of sale. *Owner is ready to sell.
