Smith & Wesson No.2 "Old Army" tip-up 6 shot revolver chambered in .32 Rimfire. The top of the barrel on this example is marked "SMITH. & WESSON. SPRINGFIELD.MASS.". The circumference of the cylinder is marked "PATENTED APRIL 3, 1855, JULY 5, 1859 & DEC. 18, 1860.". The 6" octagonal barrel has a full-length top rib. The front sight is a rounded German silver blade fixed to the top of the barrel rib. The rear sight is shallow "V" grooved into the top spring. The bottom of the grip frame is marked "43540". The front face of the cylinder is marked "661"and the flat area next to the forcing cone is marked "661". The grips are smooth wood on a flared square butt grip frame. The inside of the grip is a matched serial to the gun "43540". This gun would make a nice collectors piece. .32 Rimfire

The bore is semi bright with good rifling and scattered pitting. Some of the pitting can be seen from the pictures. Barrels:
