Scarce Smith & Wesson Model 27-2 with short 3 1/2

Description:

This represents the last era of the good quality Smiths that feature the pinned barrel and recessed cylinder that is cut so the cartridge rim fits inside rather than the cheaper method used later where rims are outside the cylinder. In addition, it is scarce in that it features the snub nose 3 1/2" barrel in bright factory nickel of which100% of that finish remains in as new condition. Evidence of firing on end of cylinder (burn) and usual very faint cylinder line, rest of gun locks up and displays as new. This is an early one made between 1969-70
