Here is a near new Smith & Wesson Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman 357 Magnum revolver in stunning original condition. There is just the faintest hint of a turn line and this must have been a safe queen. No box or paperwork and the grips appear to be custom. The caliber .357 magnum/.38 special was introduced in April of 1954 with the "S" prefix. In 1969 the prefix was changed to "N". Originally called the Highway Patrolman it became the Model 28 in 1957, the 28-1 in 1960 and the 28-2 in 1961. The 28-3 was introduced in 1982 and in 1986 the Model 28 was discontinued. I believe this gun is from 1975 or thereabouts based on the "Standard Vatalog of Smith & Wesson," Please refer to photos for condition and always happy to take more and answer all your questions to the best of my ability.
