This Smith & Wesson Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman from my research looks to have been manufactured in the late 1970s, or early 80s, and remains in great overall condition. The grips are what look to be the original Smith & Wesson wood logo grips and are in fantastic condition. Cylinder sticks just a bit on release but locks up solid with the action operating smooth and flawlessly. I thought this was interesting, the barrel says .357 CTG, which is gun speak for "cartridge". I had to research that one, but I thought I would lay that firearms' knowledge down. The bluing is very good retaining 97% with what appears to be some light holster wear on the front of the barrel. A very nice piece that would make an excellent addition to any firearms' collection, or just add some spice to your next range day. .357 Magnum
