Smith & Wesson Model 29-2 Nickel .44 Magnum
Description: Smith & Wesson Model 29-2 Nickel .44 Magnum. Includes an original Smith & Wesson, early 1970s time period, wooden box. The revolver has a faint cylinder ring mark, and there is some tiny corrosion spots on the nickel finish, all due to being stored for years in the wooden box, where it's interior deteriorated over time. The tiny spots of corrosion is on the exterior of two chambers of the cylinder, and the front right side edges of the frame. The deteriorated interior of the box was stuck to these areas, which caused the corrosion. I had never seen this type of corrosion from the interior of a S&W wooden box, not ever in my 20 plus years in the firearm's business. See the last photograph, and zoom in to hightest setting. Save for the corrosion issues, the rest of the metal finish is about like new. The grips are in like new condition save for some finish wear caused by the deterioration of the interior of the wooden Smith and Wesson box. The bore is in excellent, near new condition, thought lightly fired. All six chamber faces of the cylinder shows powder burn marks. SOLD Manufacturer: Early 1970s. ~ S# N66167 Caliber Info: .44 Magnum. Chambers: 6 chamber cylinder Metal Condition: Very good save for some tiny corrosion marks. See "Description" for more info. Wood Condition: Near new, save for some minor finish wear. See "Description" for more info. Bore Condition: Excellent, lightly fired. Barrels: 6 1/2 Triggers: Factory target trigger and hammer. Stock: Factory target grips Weight: 3 Lbs. Sights: Factory target sights, ramped front with orange insert, and rear white outline, adjustable windage and elevation. Item Location: Boise, ID |
