Smith & Wesson No.3 1st Model American. Made in 1871. .44 American caliber with a very rare 6 ½" barrel. This gun is in very fine condition with approximately 90% of the original nickel. Grips are good, and show carry use. This gun is all matching. Action works well. This gun comes with a factory letter that says this gun was shipped to MW Robinson in New York, NY on April 10, 1871 with a shipment of 100. Unfortunately, barrel lengths were not described in the letter.
