Up for sale we have a very nice vintage Smith & Wesson Model 36 Revolver .38 Special Blued Single-Action / Double-Action 5 - Round Revolver with 3" Barrel. This is likely from the 60's and came from a local estate. Serial number has a 61J prefix if that helps date the pistol. Its in fantastic shape and has a high percentage of its original finish, likely in the 90% range. Timing and lockup are perfect. A faint turn line on the cylinder indicating very low past use. This is the early style pinned and recessed barrel. Bore is mint. Grips are original and in great shape. No cracks or chips, still firm and sharp checkering. Its J-frame is designed to fire full power rounds and are as simple and easy to use as they are reliable. Great for home defense and a person with a smaller hand. The model 36 features blued carbon steel frame, barrel, and cylinder, wood grips, and an integral front sight with a fixed rear sight.
