Description:
Overall condition of this revolver is almost excellent but falling just a hair shy of being almost like new in box. The metal is free of any corrosion but the rail segments have some rub marks on and in them from where equipment was mounted. There are some other extremely minor handling marks and a faint rotation line on the cylinder as well. Grips are in great condition. The bore is in excellent condition with a great shine with strong lands and grooves. This example-as all the Performance Center models do-starts as a "basic" firearm from Smith & Wesson before being redone or finished into a firearm designed to stand above the others of its class in ability and craftsmanship. Standard among the jobs their Performance Center shop performs is a tuned action and trigger coupled with a trigger stop. Boasting "the highest muzzle velocity of any production revolver on earth"; Smith & Wesson designated this version the "XVR" meaning "X-treme Velocity Revolver". This revolver is more than capable of reaching out and getting the job done.
