1966 Smith and Wesson S&W model 53 22 Jet Centerfire Magnum 6" barrel and factory box. Excellent mechanics.
Description:
One of the more unusual revolver to come from S&W...... this is a 1966 model 53-2 know as the 22 Jet. Unique in that it's capable of firing the 22 Jet magnum centerfire cartrige and the 22 long rifle round with the use of steel inserts that go inside the 22 Jet cylinder. This one does not have the inserts but they are still sold new through Numrich for $23 each (See last pic). The gun is in nice used condition with signs of prior use. There is wear to the finish in various spots but it's stictly cosmetic and the mechanics are spot on with correct timing and lockup on each hole. Nothing funky...no surprises. It comes with a super nice set of factory diamond target grips and a factory box but there is no label tying the box to the revolver so we can't assume it's original.
