Description:
A great revolver for target and competition shooting, the Smith & Wesson Model 686-6 Plus revolver has an increased cylinder capacity of 7 rounds and is chambered for the capable .357 Magnum. The 686-6 is an L-frame double/single-action revolver built with a stainless steel construction. The barrel on this revolver measures 6" long and has an adjustable square notch rear sight, serrated ramp front sight with red insert, and a grooved rib along the top of the frame and barrel. The hammer on this revolver is wider and checkered for easy cocking to single-action and the smooth-textured trigger delivers a smooth and predictable pull in both double- and single-action modes. This revolver features the original black rubber textured grips with finger grooves. The 686-6 does have a transfer bar safety mechanism for safe carrying with a full cylinder, as well as Smith & Wesson's manual internal safety lock. This 686-6 Plus is in good condition and shows no signs of significant, noticeable damage. There are visible flash and powder burn marks inside the frame around the cylinder and at the breech, but the gun's overall finish is in excellent condition, and the rifling looks great.
