Pre-War K-22 Outdoorsman Revolver Early Long Action w/ Humpback Hammer
Description: Serial #675433, .22 LR, 6" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handsome revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, yoke, and extractor. The metal retains 90-92% of the original blue finish, with silvering and plum-brown freckling at the muzzle, along the high edges, and along the trigger guard bow. A thin turn-ring is present on the cylinder as well. The early profile Humpback hammer and grooved trigger retain about 60-70% of the original color case-hardening, with the balance having a mottled plum-brown patina with thin surface freckling and some pinprick pitting. Original adjustable rear sight is still present, and the Patridge style front sight blade has cleaned moderate freckling and pinprick pitting throughout. The checkered walnut, diamond-center grips are correct, but numbered to a different gun on the interior. The wood has small handling marks and minor blemishes scattered about both panels, as well as several chips on either side at the butt flare. There is also minor flattening to the points. The lock-up is tight and the action functions flawlessly. The cylinder shows evidence of firing out of time, with dimples on face. I have owned and fired this gun over the last several years and it works great timing and locking. This is a very nice pre-war K-22, with the early long-action, and is in very good-near fine condition overall. FFL or C&R SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
