Early Post-War Features Include a Finely-Checkered Rib, Sight Tang and Topstrap; Serrated Front- and Backstrap. It has the Windage & Elevation Click-Adjustable Target Rear Sight; 1/8-Inch-Wide Pinned & Ramped Partridge Front Sight; Four-Line Address; Large S&W Sideplate Monogram; Barrel marked “SMITH & WESSON” on the Left; “S&W .357 MAGNUM” on the Right. It has the Medium Width Checkered (Low Spur) Hammer; Serrated Trigger; Pinned Barrel; Recessed Cylinder; Matching S Serial Number on the Cylinder – and on the Right Grip Panel, only. Marks from the wood on the bluing look like they will polish-off easily. The Bore is Mirror Bright as are the Chambers with very little evidence of firing. This revolver has been handled more than fired: Bluing has only minor wear for age (70 years) – with light cylinder and recoil-plate lines, No Cylinder Face Carbon Rings; and a bit of bluing loss on the muzzle.
