Antique Smith & Wesson No 1-1/2 Single Action Revolver 32 S&W
Description: Serial #6693, 32 S&W, 3 1/2" barrel with light scattered oxidized pitting in the bore. This is the model 1-1/2 Single Action Revolver (32 Single Action) manufactured by Smith and Wesson from 1878-1892 and was S&W's first 32 caliber revolver with automatic ejection. This lovely little, near excellent, gun has strong original nickel plate retaining perhaps 96-97% showing scattered light oxidation blemishes, a few minor pinprick pits near the muzzle and handling marks. The hammer retains very strong case-hardened colors with operational wear, the spur trigger has toned to gray. The diamond checkered hard rubber grips are in excellent condition and pencil numbered to the gun. This early “later" model features a strain screw, includes the 1877 patent date, and all appropriate parts are correctly numbered to the gun. The barrel-to-frame fit is tight, the action is crisp. The cylinder does have a slight drag when coming up on one of the chambers. A nice example of No. 1 1/2.
