EXCEPTIONALLY SCARCE TARGET SIGHTED .44 HAND EJECTOR, 2ND MODEL, #31XXX, MADE 1929
Description: EXCEPTIONALLY SCARCE TARGET SIGHTED .44 HAND EJECTOR, 2ND MODEL, #31XXX, MADE THE YEAR OF THE GREAT STOCK MARKET CRASH OF 1929. This one has seen light use and retains most of the original blue with the usual rub spots on the sides of the muzzle and a small area on the left side of the frame where the barrel screws in. All very minor. Nice period target grips with sharp checkering and diamond pattern around the screw hole and checkered thumb rest. The hammer pull and trigger pull in both single action and double action have to be felt to be appreciated- wonderful hand fitted and hand tuned craftsmanship of the period. Tight action and lock up, mirror bore, factory adjustable sights. Nice case color on the hammer sides and trigger sides. Seldom seen big "N" frame Target .44 from the amazing quality Pre-war days of Smith and Wesson.
