S&W 4th Model .38 Safety Hammerless Revolver (Long Barrel)
Description:
Serial #202531, .38 S&W, 5” barrel with a very good, bright bore that has a small amount of mild freckling within the grooves. This is a nice revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, latch, and barrel with the metal retaining 85-90% of the original nickel finish that has worn to the underlying gray metal in places, developed some minor freckling in the cylinder flutes, and some specks of darker freckling along the barrel rib. The trigger has original, muted color case-hardening mixed with dark freckling on the edges, and a few minor spots of fading on the sides of the web. The genuine mother-of-pearl grips are in fine shape having only a few very minor handling marks, and some very small chips along the butt. The lock-up is tight with no lateral play in the hinge, and the mechanism functions flawlessly. This is a great looking “Lemon-Squeezer” with a desirable longer barrel, and is in very good plus-near fine overall condition. FFL or C&R
