Exceptional, all original S&W, Double Action .38, Fourth Model revolver with nickel finish as made 1883-1909 in an original S&W box with correct end label.
Description:
Standard configuration S&W DA .38 Fourth Model Grip Safety revolver with 3.25” barrel having fixed front and rear sights. Two line address on barrel rib referencing manufacturer, location, and patent years. Full serial number on rear of cylinder and butt. Fitted with molded hard rubber grips with the S&W monogram over a checkered and bordered field. Complete with correct S&W box with orange end label referencing model, caliber, finish, and barrel length.
Condition:
Approximately 98-99% bright original nickel with minuscule handling marks. No visible cartridge imprints on the recoil shield. Comparable condition blue on latching lever and trigger guard. Even the trigger retains all of its color case hardening. Crisp grips with no cracks or loses. Mirror bore with sharp rifling. No effort was made to cycle the action as cylinder ring is very faint. VG box with scuffing and glued corners. A truly exceptional revolver in an original, rarely encountered box.
