This early "Old Model" Tip -Up revolver has the 2 patent date barrel address. 3-1/2 inch octagon barrel chambered in 32 FR caliber. 5 shot non-fluted cylinder. Spur trigger. Blued frame with Rosewood grips that are numbered to the gun. The bore has some light pitting and visible rifling. Cylinder is mostly blue with some edge wear. Frame retains about 50% original blue fading to gray showing some high edge wear. The barrel is toning to brown/gray with scattered light pitting and handling marks. This is a fine example piece for the new collector. There were about 26,300 of this Model 1-1/2 First Issue made between 1865-1868.
