Description: Nice SMITH & WESSON .38 DOUBLE ACTION Top Break SELF DEFENSE Revolver C&R Smith & Wesson’s DA CONCEAL & CARRY Revolver Here we present a C&R 4th Model Smith & Wesson .38 S&W Double Action Revolver, made circa 1906 in Springfield, Massachusetts. The Smith & Wesson Fourth Models were produced from 1895 to 1909, and this gun was manufactured roughly in the latter part of the production run. Serial numbers for the 4th model ran from 322,701 to 539,300 for a total of approximately 216,600. Differences between the third model and the fourth were doing away with the rocker-type cylinder stop, along with removing the extra cuts in the cylinder. The fourth model was made from 1895 until 1909. The overall condition is fine. Original blue finish. Excellent action. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. Both grips are fine with little evidence of handling. Markings are legible. Visible numbers match. Own the original! This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 4 inches.
