Published Smith & Wesson 1903 Hand Ejector 2nd Model 1st Change 32 Long
Description:
Serial #45993, .32 S&W Long, 3 ¼ inch barrel with a good bore showing mild roughness and about good rifling. This is a Second Model .32 Hand Ejector manufactured by Smith & Wesson circa 1904-06 with a factory return date of 12/24 stamped on the grip frame. This revolver was featured as part of the excellent article published by Gaston Comeau, Ed Buffaloe and Craig Smith in their article "The 1903 Smith & Wesson .32 Hand Ejector (the Second Model .32 Hand Ejector) a Detailed Investigation."( Click on link below)
The barrel, frame and cylinder retain about 90-95% bright factory re-nickel with scattered flaking. The trigger and hammer show very muted traces of original case-colors. The hard rubber S&W monogram grips rate very good with the right side having a nicely rep[aired crack that is difficult to detect. The lock up is tight and the action functions properly. An excellent example of these rugged revolvers. FFL or C&R;
