RARE .44 HAND EJECTOR 4TH MODEL MILITARY (MODEL OF 1950 .44 MILITARY)- PRE-MODEL 21, #S 98XXX, MADE 1953-1954. This is one of the most difficult S&W N frame revolvers to find. Only 1200 were made from 1950-1957. This is the early version with a 5-screw frame. In 1956 the frame was changed to the 4-screw variety. This 4” example is in excellent condition with only the slightest of edge wear apparent. Not quite minty new, but about as nice as one could hope to find. Good case color on the hammer and trigger, tight action and bright exc. Bore. The grips are the correct style, fit perfectly and are in exc. condition but the number stamped inside is lower than the serial number on the butt and cylinder of this one. Very few of these seem to turn up for sale.
