Description:
Standard configuration Smith & Wesson 5-Shot Top Break 32 New Departure (cal. 32 S&W CTG), 5th Variation, made 1907-1940, with grip safety, with 3? barrel having half-moon front sight and fixed rear sight. The top of the barrel with the two line Smith & Wesson address. Left side of the barrel marked “32 S. & W. CTG”. Right side of the frame with the usual S&W Logo. Color case hardened trigger. Full serial number on butt and cylinder with last four digits on small parts. Fitted with black hard rubber grips with the Smith & Wesson logo and diamond around the screw. Period correct box for the same model revolver but for a 3.5 inch barrel.
Condition:
VG original factory blue with muzzle/sharp edge wear and scattered handling marks as expected for a revolver that has been holstered and carried. Bright bore with shallow central bulge. Near excellent grips. Correct manual mechanics, each cylinder locking tightly before firing pin is released. VG+ box with shelf wear, nicely detailed label. A nice looking boxed S&W 32 Departure whose slightly bulged barrel should preclude further use.
