S&W Second model HE 455
Description: Made in 1932 in 455 caliber for the Brits or Canada?? This gun has had the cylinder changed to a 45LC #23615 with British Armory mark, and on outside on every cylinder flute. SER# on frame is 39XXX, cylinder is made for rimmed cartridges, 45LC. As you can see in pics the original blue is over 95% and cylinder has minor flaking in the flutes, grip straps have over 95% blue also. these very hard to find grips are near mint and not numbered inside Case color on hammer is 95% and on trigger about 80%, Bore is like new and recoil shield shows no imprint of primer around firing pin. A very rare gun, the last 5 in 455 is struck but easy to read never the less. Barrel has slight blue loss on left side near front sight, probably from sitting in desk drawer. Barrel is 6 1/2" . A wonderful collector gun!! SOLD |
