Smith and Wesson Model 1913, U.S property, .45 acp First year , W/Holster

Description:
U.S. Smith & Wesson, U.S. Army Model 1917, .45 ACP, s/n 9260, revolver, brl length 5.5", very good condition, double action, Revolver comes with original period leather US marked holster manufactured by "G&K/1917/A.G." retaining brass finial and ring along with strap and intact flap retained on reverse with copper pin. Bottom of grip frame is marked "U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1917/lanyard ring/No/9/260" with the underside of the barrel being marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". Five screw with pinned barrel and combat sights, traces of color case hardening on trigger and hammer. Hammer has serrated sides with a checkered spur. Smooth walnut grip panels show some light handling and fit as they should. Blued metal finish shows some thinning on barrel and on some edges with a drag line present on the cylinder and a bore that has very nice shine and visible rifling. First year of production.
