Smith & Wesson 544 "Texas Wagon Train" chambered in .44/40. This is a 5-inch blue steel N-frame chambered in 44-40 and housed in a basswood presentation case. This is in excellent condition. Classic S&W magnum revolver, 5" barrel with shrouded ejector, polished blue finish, wide target trigger & hammer, 6 shot fluted cylinder, adjustable sights, checkered hammer & cylinder latch and S&W smooth wood target grips. The markings are: The left side of the barrel is marked "SMITH & WESSON / 44/40", the right side "1836 TEXAS 1986". The right-side plate is marked with a Texas Wagon Train seal (Texas state outline with wagon inside) with "1986" above and "1836" below. The left sideplate is marked with the S&W logo and the right side of the frame with the four-line Marcas Registradas address. The yoke cut is marked with the model and serial numbers. The grips have Smith & Wesson medallions. .44-40 Winchester
