This is a Smith & wesson Model 4 the serial # 450420 and it is chambered in 38 S&W. This revolver mechanically functions well. I do believe this to be a fireable weapon. The top break is tight. The cylender has some side to side play when locked back but that is to be expected for the age of this revolver. Condition is rated as fair to good with some dulling of the nickle plating. The bore does show it's age with a fair amount of pitting. There is a chip out of the left side grip on the bottom. This can be seen in the photos.
