Smith & Wesson Model 14-3 (K-38 Target Masterpiece), .38 Special Revolver
Description: Smith & Wesson Model 14-3, (K38 Target Masterpiece), .38 Special, single-action/double-action revolver, with a 6-inch pinned barrel, fluted cylinder, S&W wood target stocks, target trigger (0.400-inch wide) with grooved face; target hammer (0.500-inch-wide spur) with checkered spur; open adjustable rear sight; fix front sight blade; and a blue finish. The revolver has a three-screw configuration, with one screw (#3) under the stock. The overall length of the gun is 11.5 inches; overall height is 5.75 inches (including the front-site blade); its unloaded weight is 38.8 ounces (2 pounds, 6.8 ounces). Based on its serial number, the year of manufacture is 1975. There are no box or other accessories with this revolver. The overall condition of this gun is 99+ percent. The finish on the metal and wood is all original, and near perfect. There are a couple very light scratches on the right side of the gun, below the cylinder; they are almost not visible to the naked eye, but they show up on these high-resolution photos. This gun has been fired, but very, very little. The cylinder lock ring is very light, and the front of the cylinder shows almost no carbon stain, which is almost impossible to entirely remove once a revolver has been fired. See the photos of the cylinder ring and the front of the cylinder. The S&W wood stocks have no marks or stains of any kind. The checkering is perfect – no damage and no signs of wear. See the photos. The bluing is pretty close to perfect. The white specs on the left side of the cylinder are specks of lint. I will rephoto the cylinder and post as soon as I can. The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details. Contact me for additional photos of any area you would like to see or see better. The buyer pays USPS Priority mail ($25) and insurance ($20.25). The fastest way to get this gun is to pay with USPS (U.S. Postal Service) money order, as they are like cash. I will ship the pistol immediately upon receipt of a USPS money order and an FFL. I will also accept a personal check and other types of money orders, as well as bank checks and cashier's checks, but I will hold the gun until it clears my bank; this includes bank checks and cashier’s checks. I do not accept credit cards, debit cards, or PayPal. Check or money order must be made out to Jerry Pownall (not Barboursville Arms). If you wish to contact me, please "Email Seller". I will answer your questions, explain the purchase / transfer process, and provide my mailing address. I am available any time, except Friday evenings and Saturdays. I will return emails Saturday evening. SOLD |
