This is the revolver that started the .357 Magnum 'industry." This model was produced as essentially a 'bespoke' revolver with the customers' choice of barrel, hammer, and trigger. They were produced from 1935 through 1939 as the .357 Registered Magnum. The production continued on through early WW2 and then Post-war as the Pre-Model 27, then the Model 27. This one is the earliest model where only 1518 were manufactured. .357 Magnum

Metal Condition: "Good to very good. There is an evident run line and many fine scratches. Also, some light bluing wear on the high points. Curiously, the cylinder faces, and the top strap show little evidence of firing.
Wood Condition: "Good. The checkering is sharp, and the medallions intact. There are a couple of light scratches on the bottom, and a small chip from the left edge.
Bore Condition: Shiny and bright with good rifling.
Barrels: 6-1/2 inches
Triggers: Factory double and single action trigger.
Butt Pad: Slim profile checkered walnut.
Weight: 44 Ounces
Sights: King sights with windage and elevation screws.
