"Beautiful U.S. Model 1816 Contract Musket by N. Starr (AL4742)

Description:
"Beautiful U.S. Model 1816 contract musket by N. Starr. Barrel retains its original brown armory finish, except the area in front of the first barrel band that in a bright finish. Lock plate is dated 1832 and has gorgeous case colors. N Starr emblem is excellent. Frizzen also has beautiful original case colors. Wood is good, shows minor handling wear. Cartouche is present. Musket also has 8-point star motif under the date, there are mostly seen on early example!
