Rare! Starr Arms Co. Model 1858 DA, 45LC Cal
Description: That’s right, 45 Long Colt!! This one was built in the Belgium factory, which purchased the remaining inventory of the Starr factory after the Civil War. The early frame has the original Starr Patent, Jan. 15, 1858 on the left side, and the Starr Arms Co. on the right side. The conversion was done in the 1890’s by replacing the barrel and cylinder with steel components to take the higher pressures of the 45 Colt cartridge. The finish is a very fine dark blue. The hammer and trigger are strawed. The bore is bright with somewhat shallow lands and grooves. The gun retains 90% or better of the Belgium blue finish. Mechanically, it is excellent. The single action trigger, the double action trigger, and safety on the back of the front trigger are in excellent condition. This is an extremely rare revolver in excellent condition. US only, no International sales. Buyer pays $25.00 shipping. Three-day inspection allowed if notification is given and item is returned UNALTERED, less shipping. Antique – no FFL required. If your state or area requires an FFL for antiques, buyer will need to provide one. Must be 21 years of age to purchase. Any weapon you plan to shoot should be inspected by a competent gunsmith before firing. SOLD Antique: Yes |
