Offered here for sale and just acquired is this very fine compact 5-shot revolver made by the popular firm of Taurus of Brazil. This Taurus revolver, serial number ACE856982, is a Model 805, a compact, 5-shot revolver chambered in .38 Special. The Model 805 is an evolution of the earlier Model 85, introduced in 1985, and features a 5-round cylinder, making it suitable for self-defense and concealed carry purposes.
The revolver's satin matte finish and 2" barrel are typical of the Model 805’s design. The inclusion of two sets of locking keys indicates that it was manufactured after 1997, as Taurus introduced the Security System, a keyed safety mechanism, in that year.
The slight cylinder turn mark suggests minimal or no use, and the presence of the original factory box further supports the possibility that it has seen little to no use. A very fine compact .38 revolver.
