Taurus Model M85FS, .38 Special, Double-Action Revolver with 2-Inch Barrel
Description: This Taurus M85FS .38 special, double-action, five-shot revolver is of all steel construction, and it has a black matte finish. It has a 2-inch, a shrouded ejector rod, open fixed rear sight, fixed ramp front sight, and rubber grip panels. The gun is also equipped with and integral key locking system in the hammer that prevents the gun from being cocked and fired. Two keys are provided to lock and unlock the hammer. The overall length of the gun is 6½ inches; its height is 4½ inches; its unloaded weight is 21.5 ounces. The gun was manufactured in 2015 or 2016. Other than the two keys for the gun’s locking system as mentioned above, there are no papers or accessories with this revolver. The overall condition of this gun is 99+ percent. I think it has been fired 10 times. I know, because I sold the gun to a couple (my next-door neighbors) for the wife’s self-defense in her husband’s absence. I gave them a quick tutorial, they fired a few shots, and off they went. As far as I know, they never fired the gun again. They later moved to Europe and asked if I could sell it for them. The light usage of the gun is evident by the facts that the cylinder-lock ring is very light and the front of the cylinder shows very little carbon stain, which is almost impossible to entirely remove once a revolver has been fired (see photo of cylinder face). The matte finish on the rest of the gun is unflawed; there are no blemishes, mars, or other stains. The stock rubber grips are likewise unflawed. The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details. Contact me for additional photos of any areas you would like to see or see better. The buyer pays $25 for USPS Priority Mail and $4.70 for insurance, if desired. The fastest way to get the gun is to pay with a USPS (U.S. Postal Service) money order, as they are like cash, and I don’t have to wait for them to clear. However, I will accept a personal check, bank check, or another type money orders, but I will hold the gun until it clears my bank. Check or money order must be made payable to Jerry Pownall (NOT Barboursville arms). SOLD |
