Vintage Taurus Model 44 Revolver in .44 Magnum w/ 6.5" Ported Barrel

Description: Introduced in 1994 and manufactured for ten years until 2004, the .44 Magnum caliber Taurus Model 44 revolver was the firm's top-of-the-line double-action large-frame magnum model. The Model 44 was offered in various barrel lengths as well as various other options during the production run. This example features all of the most desirable features for this model including a 6.5" ventilated rib barrel with a full length under-lug, and a factory ported muzzle with 4 ports on either side of the front sight. The stainless steel finish on this Taurus is in excellent condition overall with only some very tiny scattered handling and storage marks. It has a very attractive look to it as you can see in the pictures provided in this listing. The bore in the 6.5" barrel is in minty condition. The bore is bright and clean with no pitting or visible imperfections, and the rifling still looks new with sharp lands and grooves. The cylinder bores are equally as clean and free from any imperfections. The factory black rubber finger-groove grips are in great shape. They do not show any wear or damage, and they have a nice grippy surface to them. They are tight to the gun and the little Taurus medallions are still intact on both sides. Everything on this Model 44 Stainless is in perfect working order. The adjustable target-style sights work perfectly, the action is in perfect time and locks up tight, and the trigger, hammer, and cylinder release all work like the day this gun left the factory. This .44 Magnum would be a great addition to any collection and should be a blast to shoot at the range or farm. The stainless steel construction and .44 Mag chambering makes it a perfect choice for a low-maintenance defense gun in areas where there are dangerous game, as well as a hunting revolver capable of one-shot kills on just about any game in North America.
