Colt Paterson Model 1836 Number 5 .36 Caliber Belt Revolver Reproduction by Aldo Uberti with Charcoal Blue Finish
Description: This is the best production copy of the Colt Revolver Paterson ever made, the Number 5 Belt Revolver or "Texas Model" by Aldo Uberti. These were made from the mid 1990's into the early 2000's and are no longer in production. The Date Code on this one indicated 1995 production. I have a friend whose a gunsmith whose worked on original Paterson Revolvers and he told me these Ubertis are "very close" to the original Colts. This one has the special order charcoal blued finish to give it more of a 19th century period look instead of the darker modern blue/black finish. They wear faster but that is generally the point...to look more authentic. This one has been handled and shows edge wear but still shows about 95% original blue and case colors. Grips show a few light marks but are in Very Good shape overall with nearly all of the original varnish intact. There is a fair bit of wear on the lead-ins to the oval cylinder stop notches on the cylinder from being cocked which I'll admit...is fun to do when you're sitting in your man cave watching Westerns. Action works nicely and locks up like its supposed to with the folding trigger popping out from under the frame when you cock it. Nice example with a low serial number that is starting to show a little character in the form of honest wear. Antique, Percussion under Federal Law. No FFL required but some states and municipalities may have restrictions. Please check your local and state laws before contacting us. $25.00 shipping.
