Early Uberti Repro of Colt 1861 Navy Revolver distributed by Replica Arms in the Original Box, Unfired. Not SAA
Description:
Unfired Uberti Reproduction of the Colt Model 1861 Navy Percussion Revolver in .36 Caliber. This one was distributed by Replica Arms of Marietta, Ohio and comes in its original numbered Replica Arms Cardboard Box complete with manual, instructions, warranty card; all the candy that's usually long gone after 50 years is still in there! The Italian date code on the frame indicates it was manufactured in 1970. It has never been fired and I doubt its been cocked, maybe once or twice as there is no circle or wear ring around the cylilnder. Still has factory grease on it. This is an unusual variation for a Uberti...it has a full fluted cylinder just like the original early1861 Colt Navies....I think Colt only made 100 of them originally. It also has the scarce 4 screw frame that's cut for a shoulder stock. Hard to find reproductions that replicate such a scarce variation...they tend to stick with the most common configurations. The founder of Replica Arms went on to form Western Arms, then changed it to Allen Firearms before merging into what we now know as Cimarron Arms. Nice early Uberti and appears to be very well made.
