c1917 WORLD WAR I British WEBLEY & SCOTT Mk VI .455 ROYAL NAVY Revolver C&R British MILITARY Service Revolver
Description: c1917 WORLD WAR I British WEBLEY & SCOTT Mk VI .455 ROYAL NAVY Revolver C&R British MILITARY Service Revolver Here we present a World War I Era British Webley Mark VI Royal Navy Revolver in .455, made in Birmingham, England made in 1917 with a total production of approximately 125,000 revolvers. The Webley Mark VI was officially adopted May 24, 1915 and produced between 1915 and 1923. It was initially intended as an officer’s close-in weapon during the seesaw trench warfare of World War I, however, it became the standard sidearm for British and Commonwealth troops for the duration of World War I. Though they were considered obsolete in favor of other arms during the 20s, they remained in service through and long past the Second World War and saw action during the conflict. This is a full-sized British military revolver in .455 Webley. It features a top-break design with an automatic star ejector. Numerous proofs are observed throughout. There is the large broad arrow on the top of the frame and “N” on the top of the grip that were the markings of the Royal Navy. The overall condition is fine. Original finish. Robust, tight action. Bright bore with sharp rifling. The grips are in good shape with less than average wear. “M” marking on the bottom of the left grip. Markings are clear and the numbers match. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 6 inches. Caliber: .455 Webley Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic.
