Description:
Typical WEBLEY MARK IV revolver, cal. .455, with bird’s head grip as issued to the British Military with 4” barrel and fixed front and rear sights. Top break. Model reference on left side of top-strap and repeated on left side of frame. Matching barrel, frame, and unshaved cylinder. Usual scattering of British proofs with testing reference on right side of barrel lug. Black checkered grips with bordering. Fitted with original khaki lanyard cord.
Condition:
G/VG with extensive fading and toning as one might expect from a frequently carried service revolver. Added wood insert under grips that, while well fitting, are likely reproductions. EXC lanyard cord from a later era revolver. Near Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics, each cylinder indexing properly upon deliberate cocking.
