Webley-Pryse No. 4 Revolver
Description: Serial #10758, .476 CF, 5 1/2 inch ribbed barrel with an excellent, bright bore. The metal of this handsome revolver has retained about 90-95% of the original bright nickel finish with some mild flaking at the front of the cylinder, as well as s few areas of dark brown freckling on the ip of the grip tang, as well as on the forward section of the grip cap. The topstrap is simply marked: “P. WEBLEY & SON BIRMINGHAM". The one-piece walnut grip has light handling marks in the original varnish finish. The lock-up is still rock solid, and the mechanism is fully functional. This revolver has the same small extra frame screw just behind the barrel hinge as illustrated in Figs. V/12, V/14, and V/16 of “Webley Revolvers" by Bruce and Reinhart; (1988). This is a fantastic example of a Webley-Pryse, in excellent condition, and would make a splendid example for a collection.
