Description: WORLD WARS British WEBLEY Mark VI .455 Revolver UNIT MARKED British MILITARY Service Revolver Here we present a World Wars Era British Webley Mark VI Revolver in .455, made in Birmingham, England circa 1919. The Webley Mark VI was produced between 1915 and 1923. The Mark IV was the standard sidearm for British and Commonwealth troops for the duration of World War I. Though they were considered obsolete in favor of other arms during the 20s, they remained in service through and long past the Second World War and saw action during the conflict. This is a full-sized British military revolver in .455 Webley. It features a top-break design with an automatic star ejector. British proofs are observed throughout. The backstrap is marked “ASS”, which has been marked out in favor of “4/K.A/6.41” with “43” below that. These are unit marks and dates that indicate service through World War II for this gun. The overall condition is fine. 90% of the original finish remains. The markings are clear and legible. The numbers match. The grips are in great shape. The bore is excellent; clear and shiny with strong rifling. The action is excellent. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 6 inches.
