Stevens "Favorite" 22LR rifle

A Stevens Favorite model 22 rimfire rifle for sale. It is in great condition for a firearm at least 100 years old. The wood stock and forearm are in beautiful condition with a nice grain and a rich, warm color. The barrel bluing is in pretty good condition with a few dings. The Hexagonal rear barrel has been polished to bright metal, creating a nice contrast. The receiver appears to possibly be a faded color case hardening, but I can't be sure. The extractor has been replaced with a newly made one, but I have the original to go with it. The original black butt plate with the Stevens logo on it is in good shape. The brass-bladed front sight is also in good shape. The bore is OK, dark, but the rifling is still there.
I've only test-fired several rounds and found several misfires for reasons I can't figure out, but if I shoot just primed brass without a bullet, it fires every time. No idea why. Maybe needs some tinkering. As this is a century-old gun, take the usual precautions before shooting it, such as having a gunsmith check it out.
